About Gründung Schweiz

What we do

Gründung Schweiz supports entrepreneurs with three projects: forming a Swiss GmbH or AG, buying an existing company (shelf company), and setting up a registered address in Zug or Zurich. We also arrange board and managing director mandates, administration and bookkeeping.

The guides section answers the questions that come up most often in practice — from formation costs to choosing between a GmbH and an AG, VAT registration and the commercial register.

Editorial principles

1. Official sources first

   Legal statements are based on the Swiss Code of Obligations (fedlex.admin.ch), the Commercial Register Ordinance and publications by SECO and the Federal Tax Administration. Every article lists its sources.

2. Figures carry a date

   Capital requirements, fees and tax rates change. Our figures carry a "last updated" note and pages are revised after legal changes.

3. Legal review

   Content with legal substance is reviewed by our legal editor (MLaw) before publication.

4. Honest limits

   Where a solution does not fit — a shelf company with legacy risks, or an AG for a one-person business — we say so.

The team

Content is written by Louis Mummenthaler, a fiduciary expert with more than 15 years of formation practice in Zug and Zurich, and reviewed by Nadine Keller (MLaw). For execution, Gründung Schweiz works with an established network of notaries, banks and fiduciary offices in the cantons of Zug and Zurich.
